Sakura Furisode
Legend says that the furisode was the traditional attire of a notorious yakuza clan in Tokyo. When the leaders were changed, the previous leader would bestow a furisode kimono representing the clan. When the leader retired or was killed, the furisode would be buried with him. For generations, the design of the furisode was fairly simple, only adorned with the clan emblem. However, the current leader's furisode is elegantly decorated with sakura flowers. Perhaps it symbolizes a new era for the yakuza.
